On this day:

40 Minutes Easy/Steady, 6 Miles approx.

I ran with the M.P.U. (Male Parental Unit) today in my grey NB 832's (I think the cushioning is finally gone in them). We went from the Prospect Park car park, down Mill Lane, along the Kennet & Avon (towards Newbury), up Cumbrian Way, along the chase and back along the Bath Road. The run totaled 40:26, and I paced the M.P.U. for a timed 800m stride in 2:47 (a p.b. for him). Left gluteal felt restricted & left quad ached to start off with (due to yesterdays hill work?) but eased off after the warm up. My left shin niggled a little towards the end of the run (2/10 on the patent-pending shin-pain-ometer). Felt better for the run.
