On this day:

20 Minutes Threshold, 6 Miles Total

I went down to the Grange tonight to run a tempo session with a few of the lads. The session (all ran in my newer NB 832's) went as detailed below:

10 minutes warmup
20 minutes threshold around the 'Burnie' loop
10 minutes cooldown
6 Miles total approx.

I'd just about recovered from the weekend's running in time for the session, but I was glad when Martin declared it wasn't anything too sharp (i.e. short grass reps). I took out the first 10 minutes at about the right pace (the '10 minute rep' loop took us 10:50) , but when Dave picked it up for his last five minutes (he only ran 15 minutes, as he's on the comeback trail from injury) I went with the pace, causing me to suffer severely for the last 5 minutes! My mistake and no harm done, but a lesson learnt I feel - keep the pace sensible up until my last 5 minutes.

Hi Mike,
Nah, it's nowt bad. Two reasons for the pause. Firstly I hate jinxing come backs from injury/niggles by writing diaries. I tend to get a bit 'type-A' about my running the second I start logging it (I will be updating my past runs though over the coming week).

Secondly, I have an innate tendancy towards laziness, at least when it comes to paperwork.
