On this day:

Relay leg & hip flare up

Ice-Man Weir made the BUSA 1500m final, by making his heat fast enough that qualification as a fastest loser was a certainty (3:58), well done mate. Later I ran a 400m relay leg (wearing spikes, erghhh), as loads of people dropped out, including 'Billy-the-Bottler', in an appalling time, as my hip went at 50m, plus I'm slow! Thankfully, individual splits werent taken as there werent enough time-keepers available (phew!). It made my hip go absolutely wild though, so much so that I've brought some Morrison's Ibuprofen which Im now taking, despite how sometimes my shin reacts negatively to it. Its so painful now, its affecting the quality of my sleep.

Sadly my mate, Cornish Bob, dropped out of his half-marathon in 8th place at the 7 mile mark, due to hip pain (oh-oh). Condonences friend, theres always the next one...
